Jadranski pomorski servis introduces two newly constructed tugboats
Our client, Jadranski pomorski servis, celebrated the introduction of two new tugboats, Moretto and Gea, in a formal ceremony attended by approximately two hundred people at the Rijeka harbour. The two tugboats, which have impressive technical features, were presented to the public and were duly christened by two young godmothers. The ceremony was marked by the christening of the two ships, performances by majorette dancers and another modern dance group, a musical performance by Tina Vukov, and a spectacular fireworks display.
With the arrival of the two new vessels, and the announcement of a third tugboat joining the fleet in the fall, 18 new jobs will be created. This continues the strategic investment by the SCAFI group into Jadranski pomorski servis, which amounts to a total of 50 million euros over the last eight years. Numerous guests at the ceremonial event were addressed by the Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia and Minister of Sea, Transport and Infrastructure Oleg Butković, the Mayor of the City of Rijeka Marko Filipović, the Deputy Prefect of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Petar Mamula, the Director of the Rijeka Port Authority Denis Vukorepa, the Executive Manager of JPS Nedjeljko Kapetanović, and the Director of JPS and board member of the SCAFI group Paolo Visco.
