Snow Queen race held atop Sljeme

This year, the Agency once again provided the necessary organizational and communication support for the annual FIS Ski World Cup “Snow Queen Trophy” slalom races. For 18 years now, the world’s top male and female skiers have been coming to Sljeme to compete in these races. In cooperation with the Croatian Ski Association and all the other members of the organizing team, the Agency’s team once again headed the press service for one of the most watched and popular ski events in the world, as well as the international press center, where we regularly welcome a number of journalists, photojournalists, and TV crews from around the world. Even under the challenging circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, the races were in keeping with the highest standards of safety for the competitors, media representatives, and other event participants. Despite harsh weather conditions, the ladies’ race, which took place on January 4, 2022, was marked by the excellent results of the Croatian skiers, who raced without the favorite Sljeme spectators lining the course. Unfortunately, the men’s race was cancelled by the International Ski Federation (FIS).
